Film Roles

Kayser's first major acting role was in the 1985 comedy film Hot Chili, in which he played a character named Jason. In 1986, he appeared as Brad in the horror comedy Night of the Creeps.

Television Roles

In 1986, Kayser got the role of Bubba Higgins on the sitcom Mama's Family. He appeared on the show for 6 seasons and a total of 95 episodes between the years 1983 and 1990. This earned him a nomination for Best Young Guest Actor in a Drama or Comedy Series at the 1989 Young Artist Awards.
