Artie Lange’s Relationship With His Girlfriend Adrienne Ockrymiek
Artie was booking shows left right and center while also garnering a broad fan base for his shenanigans on Howard Stern Show. He was getting $80,000 per weekend for his standup comedy, and while working and earning a lot of money, Artie met his girlfriend, Adrienne Ockrymiek.
Adrienne looked like the spitting image of Christie Brinkley, and Artie met her in a tanning salon in 2009. He was taken by Adrienne quickly, and the two started dating soon after their first meeting. The couple also engaged quickly, and Artie announced the engagement to his listeners on 'The Artie Lange Show.'
The couple was great together for a while, but then the destructive tendencies of Artie started to take hold, and by 2012, there were claims the comedian physically abused his fiancée for going out with her friends. This was almost the beginning of the end for the couple who grew distant over time, and the couple reconciled in 2013, but they called off their engagement in 2014.
Artie addressed the situation in a show where he said, “Comedy is therapeutic. Big time. I’m going through it right now. I just broke up with my fiancee after five years, and standup is the only thing that gets me out of the house.”
The relationship between the two was not meant to be, which is why the couple broke up and went their separate ways. This was the second relationship of Artie to crash and burn due to his drug habits. He is in control of his destructive tendencies now and still does standup almost every weekend.
