Christina Ricci and Husband Mark Hampton Welcomed their First Child

Actress Christina Ricci is a mom to two: She welcomed a daughter with her husband, Mark Hampton.  

On Wednesday, the Yellowjacket actress, 41, and her husband Mark Hampton, a hairstylist, welcomed their first child, daughter. Christina Ricci is also a mom to seven-year-old son Freddie, who she had with her ex James Heerdegen. The couple has named their newborn Cleopatra Ricci Hampton.  

Announcing the birth of their precious daughter, Ricci shared a short clip of the baby napping and wrote, "Baby Cleo is here we are so in love with her also she has the most incredible dad imaginable." Hampton also made an adorable post for his daughter and wrote, "My heart has exploded. @riccigrams and baby Cleo are doing fantastic, we're all resting after such an eventful morning, welcome to the world baby Cleopatra Ricci Hampton."

An emotional Hampton shared a series of pictures from the hospital where he writes, "What a truly emotional morning, never cried as much." The couple first revealed the happy news in August when Christina shared an ultrasound image with the caption, "Life keeps getting better." The actress later shared some sore side effects of her pregnancy.

The Addams Family actress had a highly-publicized and tumultuous divorce with Heerdegen in 2020. Ricci cited physical and emotional abuse against Heerdegen; she was granted a domestic restraining order against him and was also granted full custody of their son.   

 Ricci has a 7-years old son with her ex-husband.

Ricci and Hampton tied the knots on October 9, 2021, two months after the couple announced their pregnancy. The Golden Globe-winning actress shared how being a mother changed her life. "It's my baby and it's changed my life the way a baby does," she told People. "It's made everything in my life actually important and matter," the actress added.
