Conan O'Brien' sidekick Andy Richter and Wife Sarah Thyre Files for Divorce After 27 Years of Marriage

It is official, Andy and his wife Sarah are calling it quits!

Andy Richter, often known as the sidekick of the late-night show host, Conan O'Brien, officially filed for divorce with wife, Sarah Thyre. The comedian filed the papers on Thursday, multiple sources confirm.

Andy and Sarah, initially, separated four months ago in April and explained it on their Twitter as to why they took the big step. The statement read,

"It is with sadness that Sarah and I announce that we have separated and have begun divorce proceedings. We are extremely proud of the life we've built together and shared with so many friends over the years, and even though our marriage has reached its completion we will always maintain a loving friendship and parenting partnership."

The Conan O'Brien show star also showed his appreciation towards his fans as well and thanked them for their love and support in this dire time.

Just like Andy, his wife of 27-years also, in her statement, acknowledged all the progress she and Andy made over the past three decades. 

The couple tied the knot in 1996 after knowing each other for a while. Moreover, the couple is also a parent of two children, 18-year-old son William, and 12-year-old daughter Mercy.

Well, this looks like a pretty messed up month in the entertainment industry as just recently Rachael Harris of Lucifer filed for divorce from her husband Christian Hebel, whereas, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus also filed for divorce.
