'Days of Our Lives' Star Philece Sampler Has Passed Away

Philece Sampler of 'Days of Our Lives' Dead at 67: Learn the Complete Story Here!   

Philece Sampler, a renowned soap opera star and voice actress, has passed away. She died on 1st July 2021, aged 67. She was best known for the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives. She starred in the show as Renee DiMera. Sampler is also fondly remembered for her role in the soap opera, Another World.  

Her friend and an author, Peggy Webb, confirmed Sampler's death on Twitter. She wrote, "My dear friend Philece Sampler died unexpectedly at her home in L.A. She was an enormously talented actress w/a loving heart & a kind soul."

As per Soap Opera Digest, Sampler died of a heart attack. Philece started as a television actress, but she became a prolific figure in the world of animation later on. She is known for voicing the character of Mimi Tachikawa in Digimon. Sampler reportedly voiced more than 50 animated productions.

Nelson Aspen, a friend of the late actress and a journalist, penned an emotional eulogy for her. "Heartbroken to receive the call today that my dear friend, Philece Sampler, has passed away from a heart attack, just shy of her 68th birthday, farewell for now, my funny, and fabulous friend." Sampler's onscreen credits also included The Incredible Hulk, The Interior, and Rituals.

In her 43 years of career, Philece also worked as an associate producer and gave voices to several game productions. She was married to actor Brad Blaisdell from 1981 to 1986. Sampler later married Larry Dean in 1999. She was reportedly child-free at the time of her death, but her relationship status remains unknown.
