English Footballer Ashley Cain's Baby Daughter Azaylia No More

Former football player Ashley Cain's baby daughter has passed away.

On Sunday, April 25, 2020, English footballer Ashley Cain announced that his daughter Azaliya Diamond Cain is no more. The former athlete's child was only eight months old.

The 30-year-old shared little Azaylia with his partner Safiyya Vorajee. Azaylia was diagnosed with aggressive leukemia when she was only eight weeks old. 

The former Coventry City player announced his followers of the unfortunate news on his social media account. He posted a picture of her holding his daughter and captioned it with:

"Rest In Paradise Princess. I will always hold you in my heart until I can hold you again in heaven."

The baby's mother Safiyya also shared a post on her Instagram in the memory of her daughter as she wrote: 

"You are my Angel my heartbeat my soul, RIP my precious baby, you will always be with me like a handprint on my heart."

Cain often posted pictures of his daughter on social media and talked about her battle with cancer. Azaiya underwent a successful bone marrow transplant though it could not cure her.

Ashley and Safiyya raised around $2 million to fund their kid's treatment in Singapore. However, the specialist there deemed their baby's condition as untreatable.
