Atypical first season was more of a 'Sam Gardner' and his mother’s story, and Bridgette’s character, 'Casey Gardner,' was only in the periphery of the show, but it all changed when Netflix renewed the show for a second season.
In the second season, Fivel Stewart’s character, 'Izzie,' was introduced, and her appearance rocked Casey’s life.
