One of the staunch supporters of anti-vaccination and the face of the anti-vax movement, she made a name for herself with the claims autism was caused or more or less triggered by vaccines.

Jenny McCarthy was born on 1 November 1972 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, U.S., and started her career in 1993 as a model for Playboy magazine. When she started working for the magazine, she was offered $20,000 to become the playmate for the month of October, and according to Hugh Hefner, she was chosen out of 10,000 applicants because of her Christian beliefs.

Jenny's appearance as a schoolgirl in the magazine was not taken lightly by the catholic community. They pelted Jenny's house with eggs, and she found fame with one cover, and the fame resulted in the model securing $100,000 for becoming the PlaymatePlaymate of the Year. Then she moved to Hollywood to try her hands in movies, where she met her first husband and also gave birth to a son.

Jenny's first known relationship was with her manager Ray Manzella which lasted for four years and ended in 1998. Then she met the director John Mallory Asher soon after her breakup with her former manager. The two hit it off, and by January of 1999, they were engaged to be married. The couple waited almost a year to get married, and the duo tied the knot on 11 September 1999.

The relationship was a happy one, and then the happiness doubled when Jenny gave birth to the couple's first child. Their son, Evan Asher, was born in 2002, and while taking care of their particular careers, the duo also took care of things on the home front.

But in 2005, their son was diagnosed with autism, and this was the catalyst for the married couple getting separated and subsequently getting divorced. In 2008 Jenny said the reason for the failure of her marriage with her husband was the fact he was unable to handle their son's autism, and they eventually got divorced in 2005.

The autism of Jenny's son was later said to be a false diagnosis, but she insists it was not because her whole claim of autism is caused by the vaccine would’ve been moot too to her followers and people who bought her numerous parenting books.

Relationship with Jim Carrey

After her marriage with the director John Asher went up in flames after about six years together, Jenny was not looking for a long-term relationship because she needed to care for her son. But then Jim Carrey came into her life, and the two struck up a relationship quickly; and by December of 2005, the duo was dating but only confirmed their relationship in 2006. While Jenny was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she explained the couple was in love, but she told Ellen there was no need for them to get married. A piece of paper was not going to define the love they share and what exists between them, which is why they were only in a relationship.

Jim joked about proposing to his then-girlfriend, but then the relationship hit some rough patch by the time the first decade of the 21st century was ending. By 2010 the couple grew distant, and soon they broke up and moved on with their lives.

Jenny McCarthy's relationship with Jim Carrey ended in 2010, and for a few years, she decided to stay away from her love life. But by 2013, she was seen with a new man, and it was none other than one of the Wahlberg brothers. By mid-2013, Jenny confirmed she and Donnie Wahlberg were dating.

Then in 2014, after she was hired on The View, she revealed the lovebirds were engaged. The engagement took place on 16 April 2014, and she also revealed the couple was getting married soon. On 31 August 2014, Donnie and Jenny tied the knot; this was the second marriage of the couple.
