The actor told Associated Press:
I think that the world should take a week of quarantine every year just to remember this time.
'The Wire' star continued:
Remember each other. I really do. I think it's… other species use it. It's called hibernation. But it does remind you that the world doesn't tick on your time.
Dhowre shared the pair was "lucky" to battle mild symptoms, though her husband did admit the entire experience was "scary and unsettling," and it had "turned (our) lives around."
Back in March, the 'Dark Tower' actor revealed he contracted the virus before his wife confirmed she got the virus too a few days later.
Recently, the couple is embarking on a campaign with the United Nations, in an effort to minimize the impact of coronavirus on farmers and food producers in rural areas.
The UN Goodwill Ambassadors revealed they have helped launch the $40 million International Fund for Agricultural Development. The initiative aims to provide support to the farmers and food producers in poor regions as a means to ensure the food shortage crisis does not follow in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
