Bobby and Katherine met while filming an episode of Who Do You Think You Are? in Katherine's hometown. However, as teenagers in Canada, the two were lovers who eventually parted up. After meeting, the couple promptly exchanged contact information and began speaking, despite the fact that they were both unmarried at the time.

They soon began to appear together on date evenings, hugging and kissing in public. They married in a civil partnership in 2019. The couple is currently residing in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, in their home. Along with their love and bonding, the couple had two children, a son and a daughter Violet.

They announced the birth of their second child on their individual social media profiles in June 2021. Despite their hectic schedules, the couple provides excellent care for their children.
