Kelly Clarkson Legally Files to Change Her Name Amid Divorce

Kelly Clarkson desires to go by Kelly Brianne: Complete story here!

Amid her ongoing divorce from ex Brandon Blackstock, singer Kelly Clarkson has legally filed to change her name to Kelly Brianne, her first and middle name. As per the former American Idol winner, she isn't feeling her well-known name anymore and wants to swap it with her first and middle name that Kelly says better fit her reformed self.

Kelly's decision comes over a year after she filed for divorce from Brianne, whose surname she never adopted. But the singer filing to change her name isn't entirely unrelated to her divorce from Brandon. Fans feel Clarkson's alleged "new me" attitude stemmed from her failed marriage with Brandon.
