LaLiga Goes Down To The Final Matchday As Both Madrid Clubs Win
The Spanish league title will be decided on the final fixture.
City clubs Real and Atletico won on Sunday to set up dramatic final day suspense. The city rivals are the only two real contenders for this season's title.
The Los Blancos found it hard to penetrate through Atletico's defense throughout the game. Finally, Real scored the only goal in the 68th minute through Nacho to keep their title hopes alive for the second time in a row.
Zinedine Zidane's men, who started the match in the second position, looked set to move at the top as Atletico were down a goal at their home ground against Osasuna after striker Ante Budimir scored in the 75th minute.

However, Diego Simeone's men scored two late goals in the final eight minutes of the normal time to retain the first position in a bid to claim their first LaLiga in seven years. Renan Lodi scored in the 82nd minute, and Luis Suarez scored in the 88th minute.

Elsewhere, Lionel Messi's Barcelona's hope of claiming the title went down the drains as they lost a shock 2-1 against Celta Vigo in Camp Nou.

The current champions Real will play Villareal at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano while the league leaders face Valladolid away from home. Only a win will ensure the Colchoneros the Spanish Champion.

All the LaLiga games of matchday 37 were played simultaneously, which will be the case in the final matchday. The 38th matchday will be played on Saturday, May 22.
As per the statement released by LaLiga, the final will take place at 18:00 CEST.
