Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin Filed for Divorce After Nine Years
Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin announce divorce: Says "there's no one at fault"!
Actress Meagan Good and producer DeVon Franklin have decided to call it quits after nine long years of marriage. Instead of letting tabloids write and spread their version of stories, Good and Franklin have set the record straight by putting out a joint statement. The couple met on the sets of the 2011 film Jumping the Broom, got engaged in May 2012, and walked down the aisle in June 2012.
"After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected," Good and DeVon's statement read. It further adds, "We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There's no one at fault; we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love."
The couple called the divorce "next chapter in the evolution of their love."

Their joint statement continued, "We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we've spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other."As per the court documents, the couple had filed for divorce in August, and the reason cited was irreconcilable differences.

The announcement of their split comes five months after the duo commemorated their 9th anniversary on social media in June. Posting a four-minute-long reel on Instagram that featured sweet moments of their life, Good wrote, "To the love of my life, my husband, purpose partner, happy anniversary," the caption continued, "This makes #9 and eternity you go! You are the best decision I've ever made. I love you with everything inside me. In this life and the next."
The pair commemorated their 9th anniversary earlier this year.

Good and Franklin don't share any children, and it seems the pair are, in fact, calling quits with all the love and respect for each other as they have assured. Not long ago, Franklin gave Good a shoutout for her new Amazon Prime Video series, Harlem. He wrote, "I'm so proud of my love @Meagangood! She's one of the most talented actors on the planet, "I'm so glad you finally get a chance to see her do it all as Camille Parks in the new Amazon show."
