The actress/model has been married two times previously. She got hitched with cinematographer Robert Brinkmann on March 4, 2000. The duo got divorced in 2005. Suvari went through another failed marriage with concert promoter Simone Sestito. The pair were married from 2010 to 2012.
Mena and her now-husband Hope met on the set of I’ll Be Home for Christmas (2016). Suvari starred in the film, and Hope worked in the art department. The couple secretly got married in 2018. She didn't spill the beans on the event, but the actress told People, "I had my closest friends with me, it was very meaningful."

After rising to fame after American Beauty, Suvari says she found solace in her work. But the traumatic experiences had broken Mena to her very core. The actress says she often felt like she was living a double life. The mother of one quotes, "functioning on the outside and on the inside, desperately trying to heal."
