The former Chicago Bulls athlete was born on July 6, 1980, in the city of Barcelona, Spain. While he was just ten years old when he started his professional career at Barcelona, he went to the United States in 2001 to pursue his NBA dream.

Pau Gasol's resume couldn't be more impressive considering the fact that he spends eighteen years of his career in the NBA, and not many athletes can stay that long if they aren't good enough. The six-time NBA All-Star player is also a two-time NBA Champion for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Spanish player even got the chance to play alongside the legendary Kobe Bryant, who passed away in 2020.
The past few weeks have been surrounded by the talks about Pau Gasol's next move. And, the Barcelona-based athlete recently broke the silence by announcing his future. The multiple title holder revealed his decision via a Twitter post, where he wrote how he is very happy to come back home.' The 40-year-old is excited to wear the red and blue colors yet again, and he remains hopeful of breaking it into the first team very soon.

Gasol remained emotional to make a return to FC Barcelona in 2021. He wrote how he is happy to return to the club where he began.' The two-time NBA winner is extremely grateful for the board members and the technical staff at the Spanish club which made the necessary arrangements to make the agreement which saw Pau return to his boyhood club.
