Rapper Big Shug dating anyone? Facts about the American Rapper

Big Shug is a rap legend in the Boston area, and though the rest of the world may not be familiar with the discography and the legacy of the big rapper, he sure is a celebrity in the hardcore hip hop scene and the Boston area.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, as Cary Guy, he was in the thick of the rise of hip hop in the Mattapan neighborhood. By 1985 he was making music and making a name for himself in the local hip-hop scene, and while growing up in his neighborhood, the rapper hooked up with his friend Guru, who started 'Gang Starr.'

Shug got arrested, and he needed to put his music career on hold, but after his release, he contributed to all of the Gang Starr Foundation albums and started to grow a underground following. Never a major record label star, Shug made his career selling his racks locally and earning the respect of the people around the neighborhood. But while he was making his mark in the underground hip hop scene, Shug was also getting romantically involved with some ladies.

The First known Relationship of Big Shug

Big Shug is not particularly open about his past relationship, and there are little pictures about the past relationships of the rapper. But digging deep, there were some ladies in his life, and one of them was the mother of his first two children.

The Boston legend was once in a relationship with a white woman (name not revealed) who is the mother of his elder son Cary Jr. who was born on 18 September 1992 and his only daughter Maria who was born a few years after her big brother.

Maria is also a mother, and by extension, the rapper is the grandfather of two beautiful kids. Big Shug is a great father, and he is an even better grandfather to his grandson Zeke and granddaughter Zariella. The Instagram page of the rapper is filled with images of his family and how much he cares for them all.

Relationship with Trumayne Guy’s Mother

The second known relationship of Big Shug is with an African American woman (no name provided), and the couple is still together after almost 20 years together. The woman is also the mother of Big Shug’s second son and third child, Trumayne Guy.

Trumayne was a basketball player, playing for the local team his father coached, and in high school, he started to play football for the Deerfield Academy, and Big Shug is extremely proud of his son’s achievement in high school football.

The youngest kid of Big Shug finished high school in 2018, and he committed to play for Howard University and received a full academic scholarship. When he signed to go to Howard University, his mother and father were there by his, supporting him wearing Mom and Dad hoodies.

Trumayne is currently playing college football in Division one, and his father could not be more prouder of his achievement, and Big Shug and his wife are almost always there for supporting their youngest son as he tries to make a career in football.
