'The Mandalorian' adds a new cast member for season 2 in the form of Rosario Dawson.

Rosario Dawson is set to make an appearance on the second season of Disney+’s Space Western series 'The Mandalorian.'

Fans are speculating Rosario will be playing the fan-favorite character of 'Ahsoka Tano,' the protagonist of 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' (2008) and the subsequent TV series 'Star Wars Rebels' (2014-18), both of which are co-created by Dave Filoni, who now serves as the writer, executive producer, and director on 'The Mandolorian.'

Despite being a late bloomer in terms of popularity, the character went on to grow into a rounded, complex one, managing to receive critical acclaim. In fact, Ahsoka is considered one of the strongest characters of the Star Wars franchise and is a pivotal foil for 'Anakin Skywalker.'

The recent reports suggest Dawson will indeed play the character of 'Ahsoka Tano.' She belongs to the alien species Togruta, renowned for their large montrals and head tails, and colorful pigments.

The Mandalorian is the first live-action series in the Star Wars franchise, created by Jon Favreau. The space western web series is set five years following the event of Return of the Jedi (1983) and the quarter of a century before the events of The Force Awakens (2015).
