Rapper Silento has been arrested for reportedly involved in his cousin's murder.
Georgia-born rapper Richard Lamar Hawk aka Silento has been arrested by the police for allegedly murdering his cousin.
DeKalb County authorities charged the "Watch Me" singer of murder in the shooting death of his cousin Frederick Rooks. Rooks was fatally shot in Georgia last month on January 21.
DeKalb County Police Department published a statement that their investigation on Rooks' death led to Hawk's arrest. The statement posted on Twitter also read that the authorities have charged the rapper with murder.

On January 21, police found Rooks lying on the ground dead at around 3:30 a.m. in the community of Panthersville, a small Atlanta suburb. Reportedly, he was shot in the face and a leg.
Security video near the scene showed cars fleeing after the shooting incident. Locals of that area told the authorities that they heard many gunshots and car honks that night.
The 23-year-old's representatives have remained silent so far. He shot to worldwide fame after his 2015 single "Watch Me" (Whip/Nae Nae) soared to the top of the Billboard chart. The video has over 1.7 billion views on YouTube.

Last year, Silento was arrested for overspeeding as he was accused of driving at a speed of 143mph on Interstate 85.
