The '80s comedy show is based on creator Adam F. Goldberg’s family life in the past. It has quickly grown to be a fan favorite and tells the story of a quite unusual but loving family.

'The Goldbergs' stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sean Giambrone, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, Sam Lerner, and Jeff Garlin. The series has been making a good run for the past eight years and seems like it won't be ending soon.

The renewal comes after the passing of the show's regular George Segal, who had been a part of the cast since its beginning. The actor suffered complications from bypass surgery and died at the age of 87 in March of this year. He played the role of Beverly's (McLendon-Covey) father, Albert 'Pops' Solomon.
