The Joker is Engaged! Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are Engaged After Dating for 3-Years

Award-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix is now one step closer to walking down the aisle!

Yes, you hear it right, Joaquin Phoenix and his girlfriend Rooney Mara are now engaged, US Weekly confirms. Well, the news came right after the actors sparked engagement rumors as paparazzi spotted The Girl With The Dragon with a big rock.

The huge bling was spotted while the 34-year-old actress ran errands in Los Angeles.

Joaquin and Mara have been dating after meeting in 2016 at the set of Mary Magdalene. Interestingly, Phoenix played the role of Jesus, whereas Mara also played the titular character.

Shortly after the couple started dating and made their debut as a pair in May 2017 Cannes Film Festival closing ceremony. Subsequently, the Puerto-Rican born actor disclosed he and his girlfriend are living together at his residence in Hollywood Hills.

Joaquin previously dated Liv Tyler from 1995 to 1998, South-African born model Topaz Page-Green from 2001 to 2005, and Allie Teilz from 2013 to 2015.

Whereas, Mara, on the other hand, American director Charlie McDowell from 2010 to 2016.

Joaquin, at the moment, is all set to portray the legendary role of DCU' Joker in the upcoming movie of the same name. The initial release date of the movie is October 3, 2019.

Ever since the big reveal of Joaquin as the next Joker, fans have gotten excited for we all know Joaquin will definitely portray the role as good as previous helmsmans including, Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholsan.
