Carl Weathers explains how his character's backstory will be featured in the second season of The Mandalorian.
From where the expectations were for the first-ever live-action 'Star Wars' show, it is safe to say the series itself not only surpassed the expectations; it became one of the beloved latest addition to the 'Star Wars' universe in a time where people were feeling the fatigue of more 'Star Wars' then they could handle.
'The Mandalorian' was not only a welcome addition to the beloved series, but it also allowed the people to see the galaxy in a new way. The contained story, with characters doing their best to survive and not involved in any destiny fulfillment with a small dab of galactic magic to boot. The audiences were quick to embrace the show, and now it seems they’ve all got a new show to look forward to every Friday.

But every good thing must come to an end, and the first season of 'The Mandalorian' is calling curtain on an eventful first series. But fear not, the show was already renewed for a second season, and we will be getting a lot more of 'Mando' and his companion, 'Baby Yoda' next year when the series comes back for a second trip.
Though the show’s been around for only four weeks now and there are more questions then answers for the show. Considering the short runtime of the series and the even shorter episode count, it seems we will not be getting much in the form of answers any time soon. But still, through all the questions, the show as also able to provide some interesting characters for us to fall in love with.
Carl Weathers played one of the characters who was both a friend and an enemy in the first three episodes of the show called 'Greef Carga.' He is the leader of the bounty hunter’s Guild, and there was some back story behind to the character which we were not made privy to in the first few episodes of the show.
Considering what transpired between 'Mando' and the Guild in the closing of the third episode we are not expecting to see Greef in the series any time soon but the actor Carl Weathers was on hand to explain what happened to the character in the show and what can we expect from the series moving forward when it comes to Greef.

“I think [Greef’s backstory] is more saved for season two,” the actor said in a talk with SFX. “But you get some glimpses at Greef and who he is through the stories in the first season. There are some really strong indications that give you some idea of who he is. But we never let on completely.”
The actor also explained why he loved playing the character, saying the double-sided nature of Greef was what attracted him the most. “It’s much more interesting to play someone who is not all of one thing – not one-dimensional,” Carl Weathers explained. “Also, it opens it up to stories later on that can reveal much more about this character. Certainly, with Greef, you have to really keep your eye on him.”

We all know Greef is not dead as the Beskar steel protected his life, and he will also not be looking kindly on the fact he and his men were bested by one bounty hunter. So, his statement surely confirms the actor will be back as Greef in the second season of the show with some emphasis on the origins of Greef and how we can all recognize his character from the hints placed in the future episodes of the show.
The next episode of 'The Mandalorian' will be made available this Friday with only three more episodes to go through then.
