It is hard being a child actress and trying to balance busy school life with a hectic shooting schedule. Most of the time, child actors just home school and get tutors so they can continue acting, but it was not the case for Erica Cerra. She did not want to be left out from all the teenage stuff her friends were experiencing, and the actress also wanted to live like a teenager and not focus on making money for once. Erica said, “It was about wanting to be 14...I wanted to be 14 with no responsibility, but I always wanted to act again.”

Erica Cerra and Raffaele Fiore were in a relationship for a while when the couple decided to get hitched. The couple was ready to get married, and they decided on a destination wedding instead of a generic one. Eric and Raffaele went to Baja, Mexico, and among the invited guests, the duo shared their vows and became husband and wife on 18 November 2010.

After the couple got married, they were busy in their work for a while, but then the husband and wife decided it was time for the two to get married. The married couple welcomed their first child, a daughter on 14 May 2012, and named her Talia Serafina Fiore. About three years later, the couple again welcomed another baby into their lives on 6 August 2016, this time a son.
