Vanessa Joy Lachey was born on November 9, 1980, in Angeles City, Philippines. She met Nick at the onset of her career and was hosting MTV's Total Request Live. Minnillo's best credits include NCIS: Hawaiʻi, Disaster Movie, First Wives Club, and Call Me Kat. Vanessa competed against her husband on Dancing with the Stars in 2017. Learn more ahead.

The couple met on the sets of Total Request Live while Minnillo worked as host; Nick frequented the show as the member of 98 Degrees, a popular boyband at the time. The NCIS: Hawaiʻi's actress revealed their relationship took a romantic turn during the shoot of Nick's music video, What's Left of Me?.

The 98 Degree's lead singer had just had a high-profile divorce with his first wife, Jessica Simpson when he made his relationship public with Vanessa on New Year's Eve 2007. The lovebirds locked their lips on MTV's live New Year's Eve special and left no room for any more rumors and speculations.

Three years into a very publicized relationship, and Nick, in an interview, says that he knew very early on in their relationship that Vanessa was the one. The couple got engaged in November 2010 and tied the knots on July 15, 2011, on a private island in the British Virgin Islands. Soon after their intimate wedding on the secluded island, the duo announced they were expecting their first child.

They welcomed their firstborn, Camden John Lachey, in 2012, Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey in 2015, and their last baby, Phoenix Robert Lachey, was born in 2016. The NCIS: Hawaiʻi's actress once joked about no more children, but then the actress perhaps had a change of heart. In a conversation with US Weekly, Vanessa said baby No.4 could be possible.

The family of five lives in California in a lavish mansion. In addition to their properties, Vanessa and her husband owned a huge mansion which they bought for $5 million in 2020. But, in March 2022, the couple sold it to Naomi Osaka for the price of $6.3 million.

Nick and Vanessa's marriage is standing a test as Nick's ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, gets back at Nick almost a decade after their infamous divorce. The singer dropped a memoir, Open Book, in 2020, a #1 New York bestseller last year; the book contained Simpson's inner monologues and threw shades at Nick and Vanessa's relationship.

Nicholas Scott Lachey, 48, is a native of Harlan, Kentucky.
