Will John Cena Be Playing Eteon's Leader In Fast & Furious 9?
Eteon was introduced in Hobbs and Shaw and the new theory suggests John Cena as the leader of Eteon.
The first Fast and Furious spin-off movie is out finally and the movie crammed soo much into one movie, we can’t even believe the run time was only 2 hours 15 minutes. The two reluctant partners got into so many shenanigans; we need to say it, the movie was a lot of fun.

From here on in we are diving into the spoiler territories so turn away if you’ve not seen the movie yet! If you don’t mind some major spoilers, then jump right in.
'Luke Hobbs' played by Dwayne Johnson and 'Deckard Shaw' played by Jason Statham are brought together and are forced to work together against a former MI6 agent 'Brixton Lore' played by Idris Elba. The reason Shaw is brought in is because the former field agent of MI6 is an old acquaintance of his. Shaw’s sister, 'Hattie' played by Vanessa Kirby, on the other hand, is the current MI6 agent and she is stuck in the middle between the two factions.
In the movie, Eteon is a terrorist organization which is hell-bent on improving the human race through cybernetic and gene editing. Hattie steals the virus which was engineered to kill of week human beings and enhance those it seemed worthy and this sets of the initial conflict for the movies. By the time the movie ends, we can see Brixton was just a pawn throughout the film with the big baddie hiding behind the modulated voice and digital sound waves. Finally, the bad guy, the head of Eteon reveals to Hobbs he is an old acquaintance of his.
Well, the movie ended on a cliff hanger, and we never got to know who the head of Eteon is, the only thing we’ve got to go on is he is someone Hobbs knows. The question becomes who exactly is the leader of the company, one possible answer is Ryan Reynolds who makes a cameo appearance, is the leader of the terrorist organization but this theory cannot be true because of the way the villain talked, he made it seem like the two were familiar a long time ago and Ryan Reynolds was just talking to Hobbs about the new and improved virus he just found.
So, if it's no Ryan Reynolds then another possible person is Hobbs dad whom Hobbs turned over to the law to protect himself and his brother. The way his father is talked about is like a real bad guy who put his family in danger through his dealings, but this theory is also not possible because Chris Morgan is the writer of all Fast and Furious movies and he won’t let the threat of Eteon go by in the Fast and Furious 9. If the leader is Hobbs’ dad, then there is no way to portray him because Hobbs and Shaw won’t be in Fast 9.
The final theory, which makes sense is the leader of Eteon, is John Cena, who was recently hired to play an unspecified role in Fast and Furious 9. This theory does make sense because if John Cena is the big baddie, then the spin-off and the main series are connected by the villain. We all know Dwayne and Vin Diesel don’t get along, so this can be a way for the writers to connect both the movies without pissing off the two leading men.
To be honest, maybe it is wishful thinking, but the voice does sound somewhat like John Cena’s. No matter the case, there is still another villain who is out, and about the Fast and Furious world, 'Cipher' played by Charlize Theron. So, the ninth installment may be focusing on her also because we know she is making a return for the film. Maybe Eteon and Cipher are coming together and working in tandem in the new movie.
Whatever the case the whole theory will be made clear after the ninth installment in the Fast and Furious series releases on 22 May 2020.
