Before Joey was playing Jaskier, he was a theatre actor from Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and born in 1993. He is also a Cambridge University graduate and only started acting in front of the camera at the age of 20. Joey Batey finished his high school education and soon joined the University of Cambridge, where he took Modern and Medieval Languages classes.
