Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris Got Married in a Beautiful Ceremony

It was a long time coming and it did came after all!

Soccer star Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris are now officially tied in the holy matrimony. The beautiful ceremony took place at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami, Florida on Saturday, PEOPLE confirms.

The wedding itself was an over the top function featured the singer, Kina Grannis who performed as the duo walked down the aisle.

Before their long-awaited nuptials, Krieger said when she and her partner went to see the location instantly fell in love with it.

She said, “It was this kind of Mediterranean castle-like vibe right on the water, this European-type vibe that we were going for. Right when we walked in we were like, ‘Oh my God. We love this and everyone else was going to love this and this is just … This is it.“

Krieger herself planned the whole wedding scene and took the helms. She took the help of Sara Renee Events and the duo's agency, Wasserman.

The duo looked radiant in their wedding. On one hand, Kriger looked ecstatic in a gown by Pronovias, whereas, her partner, Harris wore a custom suit by Thom Browne.

Pronovias also designed the dresses for the couple's mother and bridesmaids.

The ceremony comes 9-months after the pair's initial engagement announcement back in March, 2019. In an open interview, they revealed as to when did they first met and how the attraction began.

Apparently, they met back in 2010 while playing for the U.S. Women National Team. Soon they became close friends and it was when they started dating. Initially, the duo kept their relationship close to their chest as they didn't want to hamper their professional life.

Now that the duo is officially married it is only a matter of time before they go on their honeymoon. And it looks like they've already planned for it. They said, "We’re going to plan to go on our dream honeymoon, which is hopefully going to be in the Maldives or Bora Bora on one of those little huts on the water."
