Britney Spears Responds to Son Jayden's Harsh Comments on Her

Britney Spears reacts to her estranged son, Jayden Federline's interview: Exclusive story here!  

Britney Spears can't catch a break; after her ex-husband, Kevin Federline's explosive interview about her conservatorship, where Federline favored Spears' father, Jamie Spears, against the pop singer, and revealed some private matters to the world, Spears' teenage son, Jayden Federline, 15, has now taken the bait to speak of their mother in front of the camera.  

In an interview with the Daily Mail regarding the upcoming documentary done with her son and ex-husband, Jayden explains his stance with Britney, who he and his brother haven't met for months due to all the circus surrounding the pop star for the last two years. "I think Mom has struggled to give us both attention and showing us equal love, I don't think she showed enough to Preston, and I feel really bad for that," Jayden says in the excerpt.

Hours after the article broke, the Womanizer hitmaker penned a lengthy post on Instagram, and the popstar had nothing but kind words for her sons. "I've tried to my best at being the best person I can be…to be basically held hostage in homes under nurses and bulls--t," the mother of two wrote in the Instagram post. She adds, "I hope my kids one day understand my reasoning. I send all the love in the world to you every day for the rest of my life."

The Grammy winner also expressed her heartache about her son's opinion of her as a mother. Britney wrote, "My love for my children has no boundaries, and it deeply saddens me to know his outcry of saying I wasn't up to his expectations as a mother, and maybe one day we can meet face to face and talk about this openly."

Jayden's interview and Britney's reaction come a week after Spears, in a now-deleted post, called out her sons, who missed her wedding with actor Sam Asghari, for abandoning her. In the rare interview, Jayden also stated his reasons for not attending their mother's wedding.  

The 15-year-old said, "I'm really happy for them, but she didn't invite the whole family, and then if it was just going to be me and Preston, I just don't see how that situation would have ended on good terms." The teenager also defended his grandfather Jamie and said he didn't deserve all the hatred he was getting.

"At first, he was just trying to be like any father, letting [his] daughter pursue her dream of becoming a superstar, but I did think maybe the conservatorship went on too long," said Spears' son. The Toxic crooner marked her return to music recently after a six-year-long hiatus. Britney and Elton John's new single titled Hold Me Closer dropped on August 26.
