Colbert Michael Hamels is a professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of MLB. Hamels has previously played for Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, and Chicago Cubs. Born on December 27, 1983, in Sandiego, California, Hamels was not just a brilliant player; he was also a brilliant student. He had scored 1510 out of 1600 on SAT, showcasing his academic excellence as well.    

Hamels was drafted in the first round of the 2002 Major League Baseball draft. He went to have an accomplished career in the league afterward. In addition to his stellar career, the star pitcher is as accomplished in his personal ventures. Hamels, in fact, might be better known and loved for his unproblematic and flourishing marriage with his wife of 14 years.

Cole Hamels is married to Heidi Strobel, a charity organizer and reality television star. They tied the knots on December 31, 2006, in Springfield. The pair together have four children. The duo's love story dates back to 2004; Heidi was invited to a home baseball game, where she met her now-husband.

Strobel was born in the small Missouri town of Buffalo. She rose to fame as a contestant on the CBS reality show Survivor. She was working as a physical education teacher back then. The Hamels couple is renowned for being charitable. In 2009, they started Hamels Foundation, a charity aimed to improve education in Philadelphia and Africa.

Hamels goes by @colehamels on Instagram; however, the Los Angeles Dodgers player has kept his blissful conjugal life away from the limelight. In 2017, the generous duo won hearts when they donated their $9.4 million mansion to a charity named Camp Barnabas.

The pair have yet again made real estate headlines as they put their Pennsylvania abode in the market. Also, doting parents to Reeve, Caleb, Braxton, and Mackenzie, the duo raised their children in the Keystone state. The Hamels tell they are ready to find a new home base now.     

Dodgers Signed Hamels on a One-Year Deal! 

Hamels has been an all-star four times in his career. The former Atlanta Braves all-star lefty, Hamels, pitched only one game against the Baltimore Orioles in September 2020. On August 4, the California-born pitcher was signed by Los Angeles Dodgers through the remainder of the 2021 season.  

 Dodgers signed Cole for $1 million for the remaining 2021 season.

As per reports, the deal pays Cole a whopping $1 million for the season. In addition, he will receive $200,000 per game he starts in the Major League. Hamels is the third player to join the Dodgers after Max Scherzer and Danny Duffy.

Cole has been a starter throughout his 15 years of career, but it is not known whether or not he will hold that position in the Dodgers. The 37-year-old is still a few weeks away from making his debut with the team. He has pitched to a 3.43 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and averaged 8.5 strikeouts per innings throughout his career.
