'Home Alone' Actor Devin Ratray Arrested For Assaulting Girlfriend

Best known for playing Buzz McCallister in Home Alone and Home Alone 2, actor Devin Ratray was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly strangling his girlfriend in a hotel room. The incident took place while the actor was in Oklahoma for OKC Pop Christmas Con, a two-day fan convention.  

As per the local reports, Ratray and his girlfriend were out when two fans approached the duo asking for Devin's autographs. Ratray's girlfriend reportedly handed the autograph cards for free, leading to a serious contention between the two later. The accusation states Devin tried to strangle her girlfriend and even punched her in the face.   

 The alleged incident took place while the actor was in Oklahoma with his girlfriend for a fan convention.

"[The] victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant's hand was over her mouth," Oklahoma City Police Department's Detective Joseph Burnett wrote. The former child actor denies the allegation. Devin's attorney, Scott Adams, said, "Mr. Ratray denies he ever laid a hand on her or did anything in regards to anything like that."

The Home Alone actor is charged with one count of domestic assault, another count of domestic assault, and battery by strangulation. He reportedly turned himself in and later processed through and was released for a $25,000 bond. Ratray's girlfriend, currently anonymous, was found with several bruisings on her face. She claimed Devin had a bottle of wine and 10 shots of spirits before the alleged incident.   

Devin has denied all the accusations.

Ratray, 44, is the son of actors Ann Willis and Peter Ratray. Besides his memorable role in the Home Alone franchise, he also has credits in Nebraska, Blue Ruin, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Elevator. He last reprised his role in Home Sweet Home Alone, released on November 12.
