Doan was born on September 8, 1990, in Abbotsford, British Columbia. She started her road to fame via dancing. Doan Got Engaged to Manny Jacinto!  

The Descendant actress got engaged to Manny Jacinto, best known for the NBC sitcom The Good Place, in 2019. When Jacinto revealed the details of the proposal, fans were in awe. Appearing on a panel for Vulture Festival in 2019, Jacinto shares the news and says his character, Jason Mendoza, in the sitcom that inspired him to take the step.

The actor says he took Doan to five different locations that were significant in their relationship, and he popped the question while they reached their final spot. "I took her to places that really meant a lot to us, Where I first met her, where I first saw her, where we had our first date, and where we had our first dance class," Manny told Vulture.

The couple hasn't shared the timeline of their relationship, but it is known that the two have been together for a long time. But looking at the duo's career timeline, the duo's romance might go back to 2013, when both Doan and Jacinto had minor roles in the fantasy adventure drama Once Upon a Time.

In 2018, he was cast in the Top Gun sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, alongside Tom Cruise.
