Everything You Need To Know About HGTV Show 'Flip or Flop Vegas'

Flip or Flop was started back in 2013 by husband and wife Christina and Tarek El Moussa. The two real estate agents got their friend to shoot the process of them renovating houses and sent the tape to HGTV who loved the idea and backed it with a production team to document the flipping of the homes.

Since then the series grew exponentially beyond the original series. The Tarek and Christina show branched off into eight different series which is about to become nine after Tarek’s new show is 'Flipping 101 w/ Tarek El Moussa' is following on the heels of his ex-wife’s solo show Christina on the Coast.

One of the most successful of the spin-off series is 'Flip or Flop Vegas' hosted by another couple who flip houses in the Sin City. The series just finished airing its third season, so here is everything you need to know about Flip or Flop Vegas.

Flip or Flop Vegas’ Hosts Are Husband And Wife

The series hosts are husband and wife who met in 2009 and fell in love the got married. The series found the two after a producer discovered Aubrey Marunde’s Instagram page and saw the decoration she did on someone else’s house. They were contacted by the show and given their own series to work with, in 2016 and the series premiered to much success in 2017.

The couple married in 2015, and they currently raise two sons together with their successful business. Even though Bristol Marunde was not an experienced real estate agent, by 2016 when the series was commissioned Aubrey was a ten year veteran in the real estate industry.

Who Are Flip or Flop Vegas Hosts

Aubrey, as we said, was a real estate agent who went to UNLV on cheerleading scholarship and after college got involved in the buying and selling of house business. By the time she met Bristol, Aubrey was a four-year real estate veteran. The reason she was as talented as she was in construction was because her dad used to be a general contractor.

Bristol, on the other hand, comes from a different background. He lived in Alaska when he was a kid but moved to Seattle with his family later on. Bristol was training to be an MMA fighter when one day he chased down a rapist breaking into the neighbor’s house and apprehended him using MMA skills. The event got him notoriety, and he joined MMA fighting where he holds a 16-10 win-loss record.

The reason the two lovebirds met was also because of MMA. Bristol moved to Las Vegas to become a fighter, and this is where Aubrey met her husband.

Will There Be More Flip Or Flop Vegas?

Well, in 2019 the couple hosting the show was mired in controversy after one of the buyers of the houses flipped by the two filed a complaint against the two about the condition they found their home in. The couple was supposed to rebuild the house and bring the place up to Vegas housing codes but after the people bought the house the place was deemed to be not up to code and the buyers sued the couple for not being licensed contractors and swindling them off the money.

The case was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount, and it seems the show left a bad taste in the HGTV heads mouth because the series was not renewed after the third season. There is still no word whether the series will be coming back for another season. With two new spin-off show being ordered by HGTV, it seems particularly unlikely Flip or Flop Vegas will be renewed. Well, at least they are finishing with a 100% flip record which cannot be matched by anyone till now.

Flip or Flop Vegas doesn’t seem to be coming back, but it was a good three-season run consisting of some great demolition work from the MMA man and some weird choices by Aubrey, but it looked good, the way she tried to captured the Las Vegas casino scene into the houses she designed. Flip or Flop fans don’t worry though, the second season of Christina on the Coast is coming.
