Italy Reach the Finals of the Euro 2020

Italy have succeeded in reaching the final of the UEFA European Football Championship by beating Spain on penalties.

Italy secured their place in the final of Euro 2020 after beating Spain on penalties in the first semifinal match at Wembley Stadium, London. They beat Spain 4-2 in the shootout to reach the final of the competition.

After a 1-1 draw during the 90th minute, the game had dragged onto another 30 minutes of extra time which also did not see either team taking the lead again to finish it. At last, Spain were unlucky (or incompetent) at the penalties to lose the match.

Among one of the two penalty misses from Spain, Alvaro Morata's effort saved by Donnarumma solidified the chances of Italy winning the game. And they succeeded in doing so as Jorginho put in an ice-cold penalty into the back of the net to win the semifinal.

Federico Chiesa scored the opening goal of the match in the 60th minute, making an extraordinary finish. Italy were fairly confident on winning the game until the 80th minute when Morata came off the bench to score a beautiful goal an the equalizer.
