'Game of Thrones' Alums, Jason Momoa, and Emilia Clarke, Reunited For a Special Occasion: Complete Story Here!

Fans' favorite, the Drogo couple, reunited three years after the completion of Game of Thrones; not their first reunion since, but it was special nonetheless. Jason Momoa, aka Khal Drogo, and Emilia Clarke, the mother of dragons, posted a gallery of photos on their Instagram; the duo's adorable snaps and captions sparked nostalgia amongst their fans.

It was co-creator David Benioff's early birthday party, and the onscreen couple took the opportunity to mark the special occasion. Posting a picture of Momoa sweeping her off her feet, Clarke, 34, wrote, "When your sun and star rolls into town, you check that he can still bench press a Khaleesi."

The fantasy drama Game of Thrones aired on HBO for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019. Momoa, married to actress Lisa Bonett, played Clarke's controversial husband, Khal Drogo. Created by Benioff and D.B Weiss, the show won a total of 59 Emmy Awards. The critically acclaimed fictional show, however, had a disappointing final season.

Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen in the show, confessed she didn't like how the show ended. "I knew how I felt it when I first read it, at every turn, not to consider too much what other people might say," Clarke told The Sunday Times. She further elaborates, "But i did consider what fans might feel, we did it for them."
