'Jeopardy!' Rating Falls For The First Time After Alex Trebek's Final Episodes

"Jeopardy" the American Game Show Witnessed A Fall In Its Rank For The First-Time: Know The Complete Story Here! 

The American quiz game show saw a drop in its ranking for the first time since its long-time host Alex Trebek's final episodes, who died in November following his long battle with pancreatic cancer.  

The decades-old game show had consistently given entertainment and comfort to its audience. With 39 Daytime Emmy awards, the show had made a special place for itself in the audience's hearts. 

The game show witnessed drops in its rank after Katie Couric's second week of hosting.

 However, since Alex's last final episodes and after his death, its ratings have been coming up chaotic. For instance, for the first week after its host Alex's death, it garnered its biggest audience in seven months.

The game show's rating dropped 5% since its new guest host, Katie Couric's episodes have aired; it made 5.3 in household ratings, giving his coveted spot to the rival show "Family Feud" with a 5.4 household rating this week.  

Katie Couric marked the first-ever female host of the show; she took the place after its executive producer Mike Richards guest hosted for a while, who took the spot from the game's legendary champion Ken Jennings.

Currently, the baton has been passed to Dr. Mehmet Oz of "The Dr.Oz Show," whose appearance isn't appreciated in the show. Contestants believe that Dr. Oz's hosting will further drop the show's ratings, guess we'll only know next week if his appearance really proved detrimental for the show or not.

The Sony produced show has not decided on its permanent host who can take over Trebek's spot. The show's rating is visibly plummeting steadily since the death of its loved host Trebek. Maybe the show will never be the same again without Trebek, or it will bloom back after some time; only time can tell its fate now.
