Katie Holmes Makes Red Carpet Debut With New Boyfriend

Katie Holmes and Bobby Wooten have made their red carpet debut as a couple: Complete story here!  

Dawson's Creek actress Katie Holmes and musician Bobby Wooten are officially the new lovebirds of Hollywood. The twosome made their red carpet debut at Moth Ball's 25th Anniversary Gala on Thursday in New York City. The step comes almost a month after the pair confirmed their romance with a PDA-packed stroll in Central Perk.  

Holmes, 43, was decked up in an ankle-length, orange ruffled dress, paired with strappy heels and a small black handbag, while her beau Wooten, 33, was pictured keeping it cool in a dark green suit with a black shirt underneath. Although the lesser-known of the two, Wooten is a star in his own right. He is a Grammy-nominated composer, best recognized as the bassist in David Byrne's American Utopia.   

Holmes and Wooten confirmed their relationship almost a month ago.

The duo sparked dating rumors last month after they were pictured enjoying a day out with Holmes's mom, Kathy, in attendance. "He's an amazing guy, very kind, super talented and just an all-around cool guy," a source told People as soon as the rumors of Kathy seeing Bobby came about. The source added, "He's a highly accomplished bassist and musician and is as chill and brilliant and funny as they come."

Katie's sudden relationship with Wooten, unlike her relationship history with mostly A-listers, is raising a lot of questions about Wooten and the slight possibility that the musician is the love of her life. Bobby has been on Broadway and is currently playing for Moulin Rouge! The Musical. But despite the claims that the pair are fast jumping into a serious relationship, insiders alleged Katie has her priorities set.

The Ice Storm actress's love life has been a closely scrutinized subject ever since she was linked with Tom Cruise in 2005 and married the Oscar winner in 2006. Holmes and Cruise were married from November 2006 to July 2012. The pair share a 16-year-old daughter named Suri. Before Cruise, the Dawson's Creek alum dated actor Joshua Jackson and was briefly engaged to Chris Klein.

For a long time, from 2013 to 2019, Holmes dated Academy-winning singer Jamie Fox. The pair's flourishing relationship came to an end amid the rumors that Fox was cheating on Holmes with a much younger singer Sela Vave in August 2019. Katie's ongoing romance with singer Wooten is her first publicly-known relationship ever since Katie called it quits with Emilio Vitolo Jr. in May 2021.   

"Katie and Emilio really enjoyed their time together — it just simply didn't work out," a source said about the then-recently separated couple who had dated for over eight months. "She's focusing on being a mom and her upcoming projects," the source added.
