Kevin James is undoubtedly one of the best-recognized comics in the industry. He has been making people laugh with his stand-up comedy and hilarious roles since 1989. Some of his best credits are The King of Queens, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and Grown Ups.  

James isn't the best-sought actor to play a family man or a romantic character, but in real life, James is very much of a family man. The Emmy-nominated actor has been committed to one woman for all his life, and the couple together shares four children. Although James believes in keeping his personal life rather low-key, the actor has confessed to looking up to his family life for inspiration.

James and his wife, Steffiana de la Cruz, have been married for more than a decade and have successfully led a low-profile, drama-free life together. The King of Queens actor's love story with his queen is a story to tell. The pair met on a blind date in 2001 and connected immediately.

 After only months of dating, the duo moved in together and announced their engagement in fall 2003. They walked down the aisle in a lavish wedding ceremony in Dana Point, California, on June 19, 2004. The star-studded event included guests like Clint Eastwood and Ray Romano. Both Kevin and Steffiana may have former lovers before they found each other, but the pair are each others' first spouses.

James and Cruz welcomed their firstborn, Sienna-Marie, in September 2005. They had their second child, daughter Shea in June 2007, followed by son Kannon in April 2011, and their final offspring, daughter Sistine, in January 2015. "I just love being a dad," the Hitch actor once told People.

It is not every day that we see the Grown-Ups actor vocally pondering on his marriage; hence it was a sweet surprise when he paid a loving tribute to his wife on their 16th anniversary. Posting a picture of their early days of romance, James wrote, "16 years ago today! You're all I need and the kids, and Friday night pizza, and Sunday pasta. But that's it, you, the kids, pizza, pasta."

James and his wife have almost 10 years of an age gap. Steffiana was born on Augsut 28, 1974. Cruz started her career as a model and later became an actor. Her credits include Die Gang, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and Zookeeper. Steffiana hasn't appeared on screen for a while now and has seemingly settled to live as a doting mother and wife.  

Kevin James talks' Home Team'!  

After his last hit, The Crew, on Netflix, Kevin is back with yet another banger. The comedian's recently-released film, Home Team, is on Netflix's top 10 movies. The sports comedy has picturized the shocking New Orleans Saints' Bountydate scandal of 2012, revealing Saints coaches and players for having a bounty system.

James plays the controversial and then-suspended coach Sean Payton in the film. Critics have attacked the comedian for doing a character that bears no resemblance to him. Kevin himself has admitted to the critique. "Whether we're the same pants size, me and Sean, we're not. He's unfortunately, a little smaller than I am, and that annoyed me," James said.

Home Team also stars Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, and Jackie Sandler. Kevin revealed how he and his castmates took a trip to the Saints facility on Airline Drive during the production and met the man himself, Payton. "It was crazy," James says. He adds, "It was also a great opportunity to observe Payton and, more importantly, to study him in a way."
