Kim Kardashian, 41, and Pete Davidson, 28, have broken up after a little over nine months of romance and fans are not surprised. Despite the off pairing, the reality star and the comedian had been going strong until recently. Many commented, taken aback by the duo's abrupt ending while seemingly appearing cool with it.  

Sources say the pair separated due to their busy schedules. "Part of the reason they split was because of their busy schedules. They both travel all the time, and it was hard," an insider told People, further revealing that the estranged couple remains good friends. The Keeping Up With the Kardashian star and the SNL fame first sparked dating rumors last year in October.

The then-unlikely duo was spotted hand in hand on a rollercoaster at Knott's Scary Farm in Buena Park, California. The rumor carried little credibility considering that Davidson and Kim had recently shared a kiss on the SNL stage dressed as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. "When we kissed, I was just like, 'Hmm!' It was a stage kiss, but it was still like, a little zing," the beauty mogul later recalled.

Kardashian and Davidson's continuing public dates confirmed the pair's budding romance. The duo went Instagram official earlier this year after the mother of three was declared legally single. Sharing two snaps of her and Davidson, Kim wrote, "whose car are we gonna take?" As for the SNL comedian, he is known for being a low-key star who's not on any social media page.

Pete publicly hinted at dating the high-profile reality star in an interview earlier this year in February. "Well, I don't really have Instagram — I don't have Instagram or Twitter or any of that stuff. So, most of my daily life is getting into cars and showing up to a set," Pete began, adding, "if I'm off, I just either hang with my friends or chill with my girlfriend inside. So I don't do much."  

Since going official with their romance, the King of Staten Island star has shocked many by getting multiple tattoos as a tribute to Kim. One of Davidson's Kim tattoos reads, "my girl is a lawyer," and another is a design feature of Aladdin and Jasmine, marking their first kiss. Pete also has a giant "Kim" stamped on his chest.

Before fueling the hard-to-believe romance rumors with the comedian, Kardashian had filed for divorce from Kanye West, with whom she was married for over seven years. "The end of her marriage was a very dark time for her, and Pete has been the best antidote," an insider said about Kim's quick relationship with Pete.  

The 28-year-old comedian also boasts a high-profile dating history. Davidson was famously engaged to Ariana Grande in 2018. Before Kim, the Guy Code actor dated Bridgerton fame Phoebe Dynevor. Davidson's list of exes also includes Olivia O'BrienDavidson's, Kaia Gerber, Margaret Qualley, and Cazzie David.
