Chrissy Teigen Is Expecting Third Baby with Husband John Legend

The ever-vocal queen, Chrissy Teigen, is pregnant with her fourth child; the model and her husband, John Legend, lost their third baby two years ago. Teigen says happiness has filled their home again after a few years of despair and mixed emotions. Teigen, 36, took to her Instagram, where she boasts a striking 38.8 million followers and showed off her baby bump.  

"The last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again. One billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!), we have another on the way," the television personality writes. Teigen explains how she intended to break the happy news long ago and reveals what stopped her.

"Every appointment, I've said to myself, 'ok, if it's healthy today, I'll announce," the model writes, adding, "but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I'm just too nervous still." Everything is perfect and beautiful, and I'm feeling hopeful and amazing. Ok, phew, it's been very hard keeping this in for so long, Chrissy concludes.  

Parents to two kids, Luna Simone, 6, and Miles Theodore, 4, Chrissy and her husband of nearly nine years, Legend, 43, were expecting their third baby, Jack, But lost him to pregnancy complications. "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed," the Lip Sync Battle co-host wrote in an emotional statement.

Sharing a devastating picture of herself in the hospital, the mother of two wrote, "To our Jack - I'm so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn't give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you." Teigen previously revealed her fertility struggles.

"Coming to terms with not being able to carry again is still difficult for me because I feel so healthy. I'm like, why?" Chrissy told People. The model also pondered out loud on other options to have another baby. "I just think of it in terms of how blessed I am already, and also, there are so many ways to have a child nowadays, whether it's surrogacy or adoption," Teigen said.

Chrissy and All of Me Crooner met on the sets of Legend's Stereo MV in 2006. Teigen revealed she and Legend hooked up on their first day of meeting each other and kept in touch for years, during which the EGOT winner continued his dating life with other women. "I played it cool for a long time. Never once did I ask, 'What are we?" Teigen shares.  

The twosome, now dubbed Hollywood's most enviable couple, tied the knots in Lake Como, Italy, on September 14, 2013. The pair welcomed their firstborn, Luna, in April 2016 and their second, Miles, via IVF in May 2018.
