Kim Kardashian Files to Become Legally Single

Amid divorce with Kanye West and his ridiculous public pleas to get back together, Kim Kardashian, 41, has decided to move on with her life. On Friday, the beauty mogul filed to become legally single and asked the judge her maiden name be restored, which will remove 'West' from her name.  

Kardashian has pleaded the issue of property and child custody be kept separate from her marital status. Kardashian isn't the first star who has made such moves. Her lawyer, Laura Wasser, has guided her clients, including Kelly Clarkson, Dr. Dre, and more, to make similar moves in the past. Kim's big step towards reclaiming her spinsterhood comes hours after West took on the stage at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum and pleaded to patch up.

West sang most of the songs from his catalog, including, Runaway, which he sings in a freestyle at the end. Kanye repeats, "Run right back to me," he adds, "More specifically, Kimberly." Kanye is reportedly having a tough time accepting his failed marriage. Earlier this month, the Yeezy founder said Kim is still his wife and that their marriage isn't over.

Kim's new flame, Pete Davidson, isn't bothered about Kardashian legal filling. A source said, "Pete really has little reaction about Kim's decision on changing her name back and removing West from it," which brings the question of whether the two are dating or merely having a fling. Kardashian and Davidson were first pictured holding hands in October. The two have since given quite the hints of their romantic affair but still haven't admitted it publicly.

Kim started dating West in 2012, while she was still legally married to Kris Humphries. She and West tied the knots o May 24, 2014, and had four kids, North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 3, and Psalm 2. Kim filed for divorce in February 2021.
