Lana Del Rey Revealed The Release Date And Artwork For Her New Album Norman F***ing Rockwell On Twitter
Lana Del Rey finally revealed the release date and cover for her new album and they are awesome!
'Lust for Life' was released back in 2017, and it’s been two years since we heard new material from Lana Del Rey. For two year fans waited for a new album since the soul touching and “an accomplished piece of art,” album of 2017 but the wait is finally coming to an end because Lana recently announced the release date of her anticipated album.
The singer confirmed her highly anticipated album, will release on 30 August. Producers for the album include her frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff who also frequently collaborates with Taylor Swift, Rick Nowels, Andrew Watt and Happy Perez along with Lana who gets on both sides of the glass of her recording studio for this album. Lana announced the release date for the record on both her Instagram and Twitter.
Fans were eager to get their hands on the 14 track album since the title of the record was revealed on Beats 1 during the Zane Lowe show. The title was revealed to be Norman F***ing Rockwell and the tracks were recorded since early 2018 to early 2019.
The release date wasn’t the only thing Lana revealed in her social media posts. Lana also revealed the cover for the highly anticipated album. The cover shows Lana with her outstretched hands with yellow nail paints on, the star-spangled flag behind her on the edge of the boat. With the sky painted blue by a painting brush and lights emanating from land on the horizon. The cover also shows Lana with her hand around Duke Nicholson, the grandson of famed actor, Jack Nicholson.
The announcement of the album was supported by two singles ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’ and ‘Venice Bitch’ on 12 and 18 September 2018 respectively. She also released ‘Hope Is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman Like Me to Have – but I Have It’ on 9 January 2019 and ‘Doin’ Time’ on 17 May 2019 to support the album. All the singles were critically acclaimed, and the excitement for the album reached a fever pitch high.
Back in 2018, Lana talked to Pitchfork about the upcoming album where she said, “I’ve got a couple of other tracks. I’ve got this weird track called ‘Bartender’ that doesn’t belong to a record yet.” We know ‘Bartender’ is on Norman F***ing Rockwell, so we are excited to hear how weird the track is.
The fans of Lana are also in luck because Lana is teaming up with Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande to release a new single for the upcoming movie Charlie’s Angels.
We can speak for all fans when we say, it’s been a long wait, but it is nice to know the release date for the upcoming album finally. We cannot wait to take the record for a spin and fed up our neighbors by playing the album on a loop.
