Lena Dunham Posted Snap of Herself Clad in Lacy Lingerie while Sharing Powerful Message about Self-acceptance

Lena Dunham shares a picture in lacy lingerie with an inspiring and empowering message.

American actress Lena Dunham just got real and we appreciate her for that. 

In her recent Instagram post, Dunham opened up about some of the most intimate stories and details of her personal life including her struggle with endometriosis and self-acceptance. 

The 32 years old star shared a snap where she can be seen clad in black lacy lingerie as she lies down in her bed, writing a strong message about self-acceptance in the caption section.

The Girls creator has also previously spoken on body positivity in the past revealing how she used to "fetishize" her body in order to lose weight.

Claiming she has been the happiest ever, Lena began writing:

"I’ve spent a lot of time in this life feeling like too much. Too hungry. Too anxious. Too loud. Too needy. Too sick. Too dramatic. Too honest. Too sexy (jk lol.)"

Dunham continued:

"I was always sent the message, in insidious ways, that I took up too much room and demanded too much from life and sometimes gave too much to people who didn’t want any at all."

The star further shares that she has now started realizing what's important for her, and it's not anyone's but her own opinion of what she thinks of herself.

The 'Tiny Furniture' star added:

"But something has changed, and it started  when I realized: I don’t have to be *for* everybody, and that for the right people, my too much is just enough. My too much also means I have room for their too much and we can take turns too muching all over each other."

"At 32: I weigh the most I ever have. I love the most I ever have. I read and write and laugh the most I ever have. And I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. Not the frail, precarious happiness of “things are going perfectly.”"

Lena then concluded the message with:

Dunham worked as modeling apparel for Lonely Lingerie, a brand that promotes 'women to wear lingerie as a love letter to themselves.'

Meanwhile, the actress recently tweeted about Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson cheating scandal. Lena expressed her annoyance for the hate and backlash Woods has been receiving since the scandal surfaced.

Lena raised a question on her Twitter showing her sympathy for Jordyn as she asked:

"Can you imagine if who you’d made out with when you were 21 had massive public shaming consequences?"

She then later revealed an old yet similar story from her life when she was just 21 years old. Her tweet read:

"When I was 21 I kissed my friend’s crush in my bathroom during a dinner party. I was inexplicably wearing a dog leash. I stayed in bed for days feeling hot shame. That was enough of a consequence! Nobody slashed prices on my eyeliner brand or whatever."

The star later explained that she does not hold any hard feelings for the Kardashian clan further stating that she did not keep up with how the media is only focusing on Jordyn.

Dunham has been keeping her private life away from the limelight lately.
