Isaac Liev Schreiber was born on October 4, 1967, in San Francisco, California. Liev received his Master's degree in drama from Yale University and kickstarted his acting career by playing on Broadway and eventually starring in independent films. He got his big break playing Cotton Weary in the Scream franchise. Scheiber has since successfully branched his career to become a director, screenwriter, producer, and narrator.

While catapulting to fame as the accused murderer Cotton Weary in the Scream film series, Liev also took up voice acting.

Schreiber is gearing up to star in a few anticipated upcoming and has recently joined the ensemble cast of developing projects. Liev will star alongside Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton in the upcoming rom-com Asteroid City. Schreiber recently reprised his titular role in Ray Donovan: The Film, a movie adaptation that served as the conclusion to the abruptly ended series.

Schreiber is set to co-star alongside Bel Powley and Joe Cole in Disney+'s A Small Light, a drama series based on the life of Anna Frank. The Ray Donovan fame will reportedly portray Anna's father, Otto Frank, while Powley and Cole are on board to play Otto's faithful secretary Miep Gies and her husband, Jan Gies. Deadline reports Rater and Phelan to be the executive producers and showrunner of the limited series.
