Maury was also born on January 17, 1939, in Washington, D.C., United States. He is the second of three children raised in a Jewish family. He graduated from Landon School in 1957 and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in television journalism from the University of Pennsylvania in 1962.

Maury Povich, an eighty-three-year-old journalist, is happily married. Connie Chung, his longtime lover, and he exchanged wedding vows. Connie is also a well-known and successful American journalist. She has worked as a correspondent for networks such as MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and others. She was also only the second woman to co-anchor CBS Evening News.

The pair met for the first time at WTTG's news department, giving us a glimpse into their love lives. Both worked at the news channel and formed a close friendship. After dating for a few years, the couple decided to take their relationship to the next level.

In a private ceremony in 1984, they accepted each other as husband and wife. Several well-known media personalities were present to congratulate the newlywed couple.

In 1995, they adopted their child.

Previously, the Maury host married Phyllis Minkoff, who was his first wife. They tied the knot for the first time in 1962. Their marriage, however, lasted seventeen years before ending in divorce in 1979. Despite their separation, they had two daughters: Amy Joyce Povich, who is married to novelist David Agus, and Susan Anne.
