Ne-Yo and Wife Crystal Renay Officially Split; Files for Divorce

Rapper Ne-Yo and his wife, Crystal Renay are splitting!

One of the most prolific rappers Ne-Yo has recently announced he and his wife has decided on going their separate ways.

The 'Let Me Love You' singer addressed the on-going rumors of his split with his wife and put the last nail in the coffin.

While speaking at the Alexis Texas's podcast, Private Talk, Ne-Yo said, "It’s slowly but surely becoming public knowledge that myself and my wife have decided to go ahead and get a divorce."

But despite all that the duo remains in good terms with one another as Ne-Yo mentions he still respects her. He added, "It’s not a sad thing, it’s more of us realizing that — long story short, I’m never gonna talk bad about her. I’m not that person. There’s nothing bad to say about her. She’s a fantastic woman. She’s the mother of my children and she’s always gonna be that and I will always respect her."

The Jasmine Brand first announced that the couple has been facing a difficult time for some time now and it is only a matter of time before they call it quits for good.

Furthermore, Ne-Yo went on to say that he and his wife has demons that do not mesh because of which they decided on going their separate ways. 

But it is still not the end of the road for the pair as both of them has decided on co-parenting their two kids, Shaffer, 3, and Roman, 20 months.

The couple tied the knot in 2016 after dating for some time.

But despite separating, the pair still love to have playful banter between them. In an Instagram video shared by The Shade Room, the rapper sang a new song in which the lyrics stated 'turning a wedding ring into a pinky ring.'

Moreover, Crystal was spotted cozying up with Black Ink Crew star Ryan Henry during her outing in Chicago.
