New Real Madrid Signing David Alaba Eager To Play For His New Club

The Austrian defender says he cannot wait to start the new season.

David Alaba has joined Real Madrid on a free transfer. He has signed five year contract which will keep him 2026.  

After announcement o his move to Madrid, Alaba expressed his excitement to play in the famous white jersey. 

He posted a tweet on his Twitter saying: 

"I can't wait to play my first game in this legendary white jersey, in front of all of you, the Real Madrid fans. I am convinced that this experience will be full of success. Together with all the madridistas. Go! @realmadrid"

Alaba said goodbye to his Bayern teammates and fans a couple of days ago. On Friday, he uploaded a post where he thanked Bayern fans and stated ready for a new challenge.  

"I leave a special club for another special club. I am really happy and honored to join Real Madrid. After so many years in Munich I will face a new challenge and I will give my best to continue the club's special history. I can't wait to play my first match in the iconic white jerseys in front of all you fans in Madrid. I'm sure that this journey will be a successful one. Together with all madridistas. 
VAMOS!"

As for his wages, the Austrian will earn an insane €12 million a season which is much higher than what he earned when he was with Bavarians. The 28-year-old was earning €10.6 million a year at Munich. 

David Alaba has signed a five year deal with Real Madrid.

The 5 feet 11 inches left-back had joined Bayern Munich in 2010 from Austrian Wien II. During his 11 years at the Allianz Arena, he made 431 appearnces regestering 55 assists and scoring 33 goals

Alaba won an incredibly 27 silverware, which includes ten Bundesliga titles, six times German Cups, five times German super Cups, two times Champions League, two times Fifa Club World Cups, and two times UEFA Super Cups.

Originally a left-back, David is an allround player cabale of playing of handeling central defense and midfield roles. His recruitment will boost the Los Blancos' strength in the back and hopefully help collect titles for his new club.
