Pete Buttigieg is the talk of the country as of late because of all the hype surrounding the only millennial running for President in 2020. Considering almost all the frontrunners are above 70, he was a breath of fresh air and someone who carried the hopes and dreams of many millennials in America.

The fact he is also gay and married to an adorable husband is an added bonus to the appeal of the Mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Pete Buttigieg came into the Presidential race as a dark horse, and as time went along, he became one of the frontrunners, but due to the lack of interest among the black voters when it comes to the candidate, his star is waning off, but not for the lack of trying.

Chasten Buttigieg, husband of Pete, is doing the best he can to help “the love of [his] life” win the election and himself become the inaugural First Gentleman of the White House. Chasten Buttigieg is 30 years old (born on 23 June 1989), and he teaches in a school ever since passing out from DePaul University. A year after his graduation, he also married his partner for three years, Pete, in 2018.

If the modern ideologies of Pete Buttigieg were not clear enough, here is a proof of how modern the Mayor and is as he met his husband Chasten on a dating app Hinge in 2015. Chasten was at the Chicago O’Hare airport when he first saw the profile of Pete Buttigieg on the dating app, and after different relationships of his past, Chasten decided to give it a chance, even though they lived far apart from one another.

For their first date the duo went to a baseball game at Four Winds Field where there were literally fireworks, Chasten gushes about their first date. After the first time of the meeting, it was clear the two were meant to be together. Pete came back from his military duty, and Chasten was in the second year of his college studies, but the two hit it off anyway and started dating soon after.

Chasten moved in with Pete in 2016 with the school teacher shuttling to his college and back home. After the college days were over, the couple decided it was time they got hitched, and Pete picked Chicago O’Hare airport as the location where he proposed Chasten to be his husband.

After Chasten said yes and the couple decided to get married, they went to the Episcopal Cathedral of St. James located in South Bend. Surrounded by friends and family, Chasten Buttigieg was walked down the aisle by his proud parents, and the couple said their “I do’s” in front of the priest and god on 25 June 2018.

Chasten, whose last name was Glezman, took the name Buttigieg after their marriage, and he is always supportive of all the endeavors of his husband. Ten months after the marriage ceremony, Pete decided he wanted to run for President, and Chasten was right there, supporting him and telling him, “let’s do this.”

The couple is seen on the campaign trail sporadically, and their social media presence is well-loved by the people. They are in love and supportive of each other, which is all you can want from a relationship. The couple also lives in their home, together with two dogs, Truman and Buddy Buttigieg, who are famous in their own way.

Pete’s allure and Chasten’s positive nature couple together to form a great team, and it seems the couple is extremely happy with the life they have decided to share together. Though he is a longshot now to get the Democratic nomination for the President, it would be nice to see a charming family in the White House again since the Obamas.
