Piers Morgan's Comments On Meghan Markle Break Record On Highest Number of Ofcom Complaints Record

Piers Morgan's comments on live television against Meghan Markle last week broke all the records on the complaint records as per Ofcom.

British journalist Piers Morgan has a reputation for making shows exciting with the added spice and drama, which goes completely normal to him. In recent times, he has been making the headlines far more than normal after making some hard and aggressive comments on the Duchess of Sussex - Meghan Markle

As per reports, around 57,000 complaints have been registered to Ofcom, the television regulator. You would be surprised to know how the tally was actually 12,600 more than over a race row on around 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2007. In addition to that, a total of 4,398 complaints were on the Oprah interview itself. The regulator firm will be assessing all the complaints on whether they go against the rules and decide to investigate each of them.

Morgan was quick to acknowledge the complaint record and made a humorous tweet, "Only 57,000? I've had more people than that come up & congratulate me in the street for what I said. The vast majority of Britons are right behind me."

It was earlier in the March 8 episode of Good Morning Britain when Piers Morgan made harsh allegations on Markle that she didn't believe anything she said. When the journalist said that, he was actually referring to the Suits' actress' interview to Oprah, where she told how she was facing mental breakdowns that made her feel not 'to be alive anymore.'

Morgan has made a career out of making some hardpoints that many people don't generally like. However, most of his longtime fans would feel that the Good Morning Britain host was actually very low this time, going after Meghan, who was going through a difficult time. In Piers' defense, he believed that Duchess was attacking the nation's prestigious Royal family. A day after that, Morgan left the show.
