The 95 years old monarch is showing mild symptoms: Full story here!

Britain's Queen Elizabeth has tested positive for Covid-19 but is showing mild cold-like symptoms, thankfully. The 95 years old sovereign is fully vaccinated but still contracted the virus after coming in direct contact with her eldest son and the Prince of Wales, Charles, who tested positive for Corona Virus for a second time earlier this month.

"The Queen has today tested positive for COVID. Her Majesty is experiencing mild cold-like symptoms but expects to continue light duties at Windsor over the coming week. She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all appropriate guidelines," Buckingham Palace announced on Sunday.

Queen Elizabeth, who is in her 70th year on the throne, apparently is not the only one to test positive for the virus. After Prince Charles' result came out positive, sources confirmed his wife, Camilla, tested positive for COVID-19, and so did a few more unnamed members. "A number of cases have been diagnosed in the Windsor Castle team," a source reported.

Queen's diagnosis comes just days after the monarch celebrated her 70th year on the throne on February 6. She ascended to the throne on February 6, 1952, following the death of her father, King George VI. "The Queen's devotion to the welfare of all her people inspires still greater admiration with each passing year," the Prince of Wales's tributes to his mother read.

UK's prime minister Borris Johnson also displayed concerns over Queen's diagnosis and wished the monarch a speedy recovery. "I’m sure I speak for everyone in wishing Her Majesty The Queen a swift recovery from COVID and a rapid return to vibrant good health," Johnson tweeted, who also tested positive for the virus during the first wave in March 2020.

Queen Elizabeth received her first Covid-19 vaccination in January 2021. Although the Palace didn't reveal the details on the Queen's subsequent vaccination, it assured she was triple-vaccinated against the Covid virus. Insiders say the British Queen's health and recovery are being scrutinized closely, and Prof Sir Huw Thomas, the head of the medical household, is said to be in charge.
