Kelly's attorney then goes on to quote from MLK's last speech, "I've Been to the Mountaintop," speech declaring ... "Somewhere I read of the freedom of speech. Somewhere I read of the freedom of assembly. Somewhere I read of the freedom of the press." Cannick accused prosecutors of encouraging the witnesses to lie on the stand.

Snapping at Cannick's hogwash, the prosecutor reminded the court of Kelly's crime. "It is now time to hold the defendant responsible for the pain he has inflicted on each of his victims; it is now time for the defendant, Robert Kelly, to pay for his crimes. Convict him," said Elizabeth Geddes in her closing statement.
