'Sex and the City' Star Willie Garson is Dead at 57: The Cause of Death Revealed!
Willie Garson, best recalled from the HBO series Sex and the City, and the USA Network series White Collar, passed away in his LA home on September 21, 2021. As per his obituary, the cause behind his death is revealed as pancreatic cancer. Garson's family has requested instead of flowers, donations be made in his name to Alliance for Children's Rights, an LA-based organization close to his heart.
The sad news was first confirmed by Garson's son Nathen. It appears the White Collar alum had kept his health battle a secret. In a statement, Sex and the City's executive producer, Michael Patrick King, revealed that the actor was sick yet was filled with positivity and hope. "The Sex and the City family has lost one of its own. Our amazing Willie Garson," King said. "His spirit and his dedication to his craft were present every day filming And Just Like That."

The statement further read, "He was there – giving us his all – even while he was sick. His multitude of gifts as an actor and person will be missed by everyone. In this sad, dark moment we are comforted by our memory of his joy and light." His co-star, colleagues, and thousands of fans have flocked to various social media platforms to pay tribute to the late star.
William Garson Paszamant was born on February 20, 1964, in Highland Park, New Jersey. After receiving his bachelor's in fine arts from Wesleyan University and his Masters's from Yale Drama School, Garson landed roles in various television series. My Two Dads, Boy Meets World, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and John From Cincinnati, are just a number in the actor's host of credits.

His co-star Kristin Davis shared, the actor took a lot of pride in his son. "Nothing gave him more joy and pride than his son Nathen. Nathen's strength and wisdom beyond his years are evident in his beautiful tribute to his dad," the actress wrote in her tribute.
